Dark Forest Fairy Mercy page 29

I refused to answer her questions and opened the door to go outside. Mom followed me and waited for my car to pass through the gate.

I'm still not sure why I'm doing all of this, and I've left my friends for him. I've never done anything without them, but I've influenced many events that would otherwise occur. I don't have answers to their questions yet, but I will return from the dark forest with all done.

My mind told me to go see where I met Mr. Michael on the first day, but he didn't appear.

When I realized it was pointless to wait for him, I sped away into the dark forest.

I drove my car through the forest, not thinking about anything. I drove as quickly as I could because I needed to get inside before my mind changed, and when I couldn't, I pulled over.

I slowly got out of the car and looked around. I couldn't see the sky through the large, dense forest, but the snow-covered trees were breathtaking.
